What is a NetDrummer?
A NetDrummer is a professional drummer hired to perform tasks required of any studio session drummer. However, instead of being in an expensive studio, the session is completed through the internet.

How do I make sure your tracks line up with mine?
When you send in your scratch mp3, make sure it starts at the very beginning of your original session (00.00.00.00). We will start our session from the beginning as well. For example, most musicians put a couple bars of silence at the start of their song. Do not omit that silence when sending in your song. When you receive your drum tracks from NetDrummers.com, place them to the farthest left at the beginning of your tune (00.00.00.00) and everything should be in sync.

What can I do to make the recording process easier?
Here is a brief list of things you can do to make your NetDrummer’s work quicker and more efficient.

1. Include a click track. It is crucial for any drummer to know exactly where the beat is.

2. Play closely with the metronome. Your NetDrummer will be as precise as possible with the click unless you request otherwise.

3. Give a count-off. Two bars with the click is usually enough. This is especially necessary if you want the drums to play on the first bar of the tune.

4. Provide a written chart of your song.

5. You may provide an mp3 of your song containing a programmed drum part or loop to give your NetDrummer a clear idea of what you want.

6. Tailor the mix of your scratch track for a drummer. Many drummers like to have the click loudest in their mix followed by the bass part. Generally, vocals can be the lowest.

7. Ensure that your mp3 is of good sound quality (128kbps is recommended).

8. Your MP3s should be the same sample-rate that your project is. For example, if your project is 44.1kHz, then your MP3 should also be 44.1kHz.

How much interaction will I have with my NetDrummer?
You may have as little or as much interaction as you want. By filling out the online order form, you make it possible for your session to be completed with no other contact. However, you may email as frequently as you like or request a phone conference to make sure you get exactly what you want.

How do I send files?
After you have completed and submitted the studio order form, you will be given a link to our online drop box. You may use this drop box to upload all necessary files directly from your computer.

How do I receive files?
The size of our “preview” mp3 should be small enough to allow us to send it directly to your email account. The final drum tracks can be fairly large, ranging from 100-400mb. Most email accounts will not accommodate files this large. Therefore, NetDrummers.com will zip and upload them to www.yousendit.com. You will then receive an email stating your file is waiting for you to click and download to your computer.

The download time of the final drum tracks can be up to 40 minutes with high speed internet. If you do not have high speed internet, we suggest letting NetDrummers.com send you the tracks on disc through the postal service.

How does payment work?
Payment can be handled by any credit, debit, or ATM card through our secure PayPal account. You will be emailed an invoice containing a section to make a payment. You may also choose to send a check or money order through the U.S. Postal Service.
